    Notice of Ruins of Sakura Castle Park

     Ruins of Sakura Castle Park is Parks installed in the ruins of Sakura-jo Castle. Tenshukaku Castle Ruins, a lot of remains of an ancient structure of Jo including dried foss are left in Parks, and, including "couple evergreen tree of the family Theaceae" of about 400 years of the Tenshukaku Castle Ruins side years old (Chiba designated natural monument), big trees such as chinquapin, willow oak, maple are historical parks where there is much green in everywhere.
     The Minamide-maru and the Nishide-maru protected in Tenshukaku Castle Ruins and huge horse soup stock dried foss, Mizubori are must-see.
     When nurse let young prince play in the bank of pond in garden in the old days, sad story that has let apologize, and young princess drown reaches; there are "pond and san*tei (tea-ceremony room) (sankeitei), cherry blossoms and peony, plum, iris garden, colored leaves uba", and figure of families opening lunch throughout the year is founded.
     There is Ruins of Sakura Castle Park control center (Ruins of Sakura Castle Park center) which displayed model about Sakura Jo and old photograph, exhumation remains at the east end of Parks.

History of Ruins of Sakura Castle Park

 Sakura Jo is castle on a hill constructed between 1611 (Keicho 16), the following day and 1616 (Genna 2) by Toshikatsu Doi that castle was enfeoffed as Sakura as model in 1610 (Keicho 15) in the early days in the Edo era in the Middle Ages that Kashima trunk paternal blood (island cause seed) which is the whole families of Chiba built in Kashimadai in the astronomy year (1532 through 1552) when is in the middle of the age of civil strife. It is located on the plateau tip of around 30m above sea level that we pushed out westward in low land which Kashima River, Takasaki river flows through to Lake Inba, the west and the south to the north. Sakura Jo used such a geographical features skillfully and we built Mizubori, dried foss, fieldwork and hardened defense and posted Samurai Houses and townspeople's houses to the east on the connected plateau and did with castle town. As the pivot that protected the east of Edo afterward, influential hereditary daimyo became the lord of a castle, and most of the each generation lord of a castle took important post of the Shogunate including member of the Shogun's Council of Elders. Above all, feudal lord, Masayoshi Hotta (Masayoshi who dug) of the late Tokugawa period period is famous as Kaimei-like member of the Shogun's Council of Elders that led Japan to the foundation of a country.
 As the army foot soldier second regiment (later the 57th regiment = popular name, Sakura regiment) was placed in the ruins of a castle after the Meiji Restoration, in oar or the gate, the most were demolished, and the armed forces were placed until the end of the war of 1945.
Full-scale maintenance of Parks began in 1979, and reconstruction, main enclosure trace, fortress trace, san*tei (tea-ceremony room) of Mizubori was maintained. In addition, national history folk museum is opened as commemorative project in Parks adjoining land in 1967 and, in 1983, continues up to the present day.

About san*tei (sankeitei)

 We obtained by transfer from Nogi Shrine of Tokyo in 1982 and restored the dismantling, removing and rebuilding in the year. Is made in imitation of kyotodaitokujikoyomogiamboue (is with today), to the outworks of a castle rise (*), to Shiiki gay quarters rose and, from place where circulation rumichino san* united in main enclosure bottom, was named san*tei for one paragraph "san*shuarematsukikunao*" of Sue deep water light no "address of retiring from public service and returning home".

We establish tea-ceremony room mainly on Sunday and holiday.

About the use (assignation house) of Ruins of Sakura Castle Park tea-ceremony room "san*tei"

  1. Opening time of kaikanjikansan*tei until from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  2. In the case of the use, it is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 for from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 in half day at the use time
    ※In the case of the daily use, it is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  3. Closed day of kyukannichisan*tei until from December 25 to January 4
    ※But we may be closed temporarily.
  4. After the charge application, please deliver charge by use day.
    In the case of the use, tea-ceremony room (in one room) is 5, 500 yen in half day
    In the case of the daily use, it is 11, 000 yen.

    ※The suburbs resident becomes double of the amount.
  5. Please treat notice matter facilities and tea service set carefully. Please compensate toward the applicant by any chance when there is damage. We perform confirmation of facilities and tea service set with attendance with applicant before and after the use. It is cleaned clearing and cupboard by preparations for tea service sets
    Please end (you wash sink and wipe off moisture with towels) in the use time.
    ※We cannot use fire (charcoal procedure, charcoal of tobacco tray) at all.
    ※Please do not put baggage to tokonoma, the platform in a porch.
    ※Please take garbage home.
    ※Please refer for any unclear points.
    ※About contact, inquiry, applicant would appreciate your hitting with responsibility.
  6. san*teiriyoshuzoku comes
    Please submit act permission application in city park to use san*tei after having adjusted over telephones in schedule.

    ※Please pay rate at the time of authorization grant. I have been paid and hand use authorization in exchange for receipt.
  9. Usage
    We cannot use event with trouble for maintenance of san*tei and the use.

     ※For the purpose of profit cannot use.

   ≪Event thing which is not available≫
     Folk song, dance, banquet, Go, shogi, dressing, incense smelling, karuta
     ※In tea-ceremony room and garden, we drink and cannot smoke
     ※About eating and drinking, we would like dim sum degree.
